One of the keys to delivering an ADAS driving experience is an accurate, up-to-date HD map that describes the world around us. This map, collected onboard our vehicles and processed by the Data Services Operations team, must meet intense quality standards achieved through structured workflows, rigorous policy and attention to detail. Along with providing HD map production, the Map Operations team supports and enables data-driven decision making by providing GIS analysis to teams. 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Services Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for quality controlling map data, processing automation feedback, and crafting best practices related to Geographic Information Systems (GIS). 

This contract will be 1 year (e.g. 12 months) in length. 

What you’ll do: 

• Execute quality control functions in HD map data pipeline to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Produce HD map data through digitization, curation, and vehicle-log processing.
• Provide automation feedback to improve efficiency of Map Operations.
• Maintain and ensure the quality of GIS data and related processes.
• Communicate production status, blockers, and quality findings to team leads and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Analyze spatial data through the use of a wide variety of mapping software, internal and external.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field
• Previous experience working in an AI/self-driving setting or similar
• Experience sourcing and federating third party data for spatial analysis

What you'll need to succeed:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with two years of employment experience required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience in quality control and data management is preferred
• Ability to work 100% at desk in a 2D and 3D virtual environment

Nice to have:

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field
• Previous experience working in an AI/self-driving setting or similar
• Experience sourcing and federating third party data for spatial analysis

The Labeling Operations team is responsible for producing high quality labels to train our deep learning model. We label vehicles, pedestrians, and other objects, assess label quality and impact on performance, and continuously deliver data that allows for the continuous iteration and improvement of our product.

The more team members learn, the better they can review and analyze the data we collect. This helps ensure our output is the best possible input for everything from identifying a stop sign to detecting another car in the distance.

We are looking for a driven analyst to contribute to the development of our automated driving technologies. In this role, you will work with in-house tools to label sensor data coming directly from the fleet. The perfect candidate for this role is someone who is able to adapt in a fast-paced work environment, has a strong attention to detail, and has experience with computers and other software.

This contract will be 12 months in length.

What you’ll do:

• Perform quality assurance (QA) work efficiently at a high level
• Flag error trends and data discrepancies
• Contribute to training, policy, and tool testing
• Provide feedback and mentor new team members
• Perform specialized projects under the guidance of manager while balancing QA work
• Provide detailed feedback to our third party team
• Compile visuals in forms of slide decks and clarification documents
• Call out and demonstrate tooling deficiencies
• Escalate quality concerns

What you'll need to succeed:

• Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or a similar suite of tools
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Attention to detail
• Ability to maintain prolonged focus and attention to detail while sampling large volumes of data
• The ability to report with clarity on bugs in tools, sample data, and labeling trends
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with two years of employment experience required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Nice to have :

• A basic understanding of Jira or other workflow management tools
• A basic understanding of Confluence or other wiki platforms
• Previous experience working for a self-driving company
• Enthusiasm for the autonomous vehicle / self-driving space
